Jan C. Fransoo
Professor, Kuehne Logistics University

Jan C. Fransoo is Professor of Operations Management & Logistics at Kuehne Logistics University in Hamburg, Germany. He also serves as the University’s Dean of Research and Member of the Executive Board. He joined KLU in 2018 following a tenure of 22 years at Eindhoven University of Technology in the Netherlands, where he still holds an honorary professorship in its School of Industrial Engineering. Fransoo holds a Master of Science degree in Industrial Engineering and a Doctor of Philosophy degree in Operations Management and Logistics, both from Eindhoven University of Technology. Professor Fransoo’s research studies operations, logistics, and supply chain management decision making in the retail, chemical, food, pharmaceutical and transport industries. His current research focuses in particular on retail distribution and channel management in developing markets, on intermodal container transport, and on sustainability and social responsibility in supply chains. His recent books include “Reaching 50 Million Nanostores: Retail Distribution in Emerging Megacities” and “Sustainable Supply Chains: A Research-Based Textbook on Operations and Strategy”. Fransoo has published both modeling and empirical research in over 120 academic journal articles and book chapters, in journals such as Management Science, Operations Research, Production and Operations Management, Manufacturing & Service Operations Management, and Journal of Operations Management. He is Associate Editor of multiple journals, including Operations Research, Production and Operations Management, and Decision Sciences Journal. Daniel Hong
Sales and Marketing director for supply chain BU, Best Logistics


Mr. Daniel Hong joined in Best Inc in 2017, works as Sales and Marketing director for supply chain BU. Mr. Hong is focusing on multilateral cooperation among organizations located differently at whole supply chain, from deep customized solutions for huge corporations, to logistics information management platform for mid or small businesses. Helps all partners increase efficiency and effectivity powered by new technology and big data services. Prior to joining in Best Inc, Mr. Hong had worked as group strategic accounts Sr. Director in SF Express, head of 3PL business development in APL Logistics, etc.

Lefei Li
Associate Professor, Tsinghua University

Dr. Lefei Li is an associate professor in the department of Industrial Engineering, Tsinghua University. He is the Vice Department Chair and the director of the Tsinghua Operations and Service Research Lab (TOPS). He received his B.S. degree in Electronic Engineering from Zhejiang University in 2002, M.S. (2004) degree in Industrial Engineering and Ph.D. (2006) degree in Systems and Industrial Engineering from the University of Arizona. Lefei Li joined Tsinghua University in 2006, conducting research in Systems Engineering, Service Operations and Management, Logistics and Complex Systems Modeling and Simulation.

Dr. Li has managed or actively participated in several urban transportation and logistics/service network design projects, sponsored by top logistics companies or public agencies in China. He has been serving as PI or co-PI in several research projects funded by the National Science Foundation of China and Ministry of Science and Technology of China.

Dr. Li has published nearly twenty journal papers and peer-reviewed conference papers, which present his research in artificial urban transit system, Systems Engineering and service management problems.

Dr. Li has been serving as associate editor for the IEEE Transactions on Intelligent Transportation Systems, IEEE Intelligent Systems and Asian Pacific Journal on Operational Research. Dr. Li is the chair of IEEE ITSS Technical Committee on Logistics and Services. He is also the assistant director of INCOSE Academic Council and the past president of INCOSE Beijing Chapter.

Over the past 15 years, he has been specializing in the field of data science, providing professional services in the fields of big data construction planning, smart application innovation, data management and realizing, etc., for the top clients in communications, manufacturing, energy, government, and retail industries. He took data intelligence as the core concept, and carried out extensive cooperation with all walks of industry and research to help with company's digital remodeling and smart application breakthroughs.

Baogang Yang
Vice President, Yonyou Software Co., Ltd

Baogang Yang obtained the master degree in the Department of Technology and Economics of Tianjin University, is currently the Vice President of Yonyou Technology Co., Ltd. and the head of the special project of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology in 2017 for smart manufacturing standardization and new models. He was a professor in Tianjin University. In 1990, Yang developed the “Network Accounting System” for Tianjin Gas Company and won the second prize for scientific and technological progress in Tianjin in 1993. The system now operates in more than 20 units of the gas company and achieves good results. Yang hosted and participated in more than 30 projects, including the national hydropower Ertan hydropower station IT project planning and Hampoo company ERP project implementation. In 2003, he designed the "ERP sandbox simulation" curriculum and teaching aid tool, which won the special award of President of Yonyou.
