On December 10th and 11th, Tsinghua University Summit of China's Manufacturing and Logistics Industries and the 11th Dongfeng Nissan Cup “Tsinghua IE Sword” National Industrial Engineering Case Study Competition (organized by the Department of Industrial Engineering, Tsinghua University, and guided by the MOE Higher Education Steering Committee of Industrial Engineering Related Majors and the MOE Innovation Methodology Instruction Subcommittee), was held in the main building of Tsinghua University, with attendants including industry experts, entrepreneurs representatives, university representatives and students from the Department of Industrial Engineering. The summit was focused on the applications of industrial engineering in innovation, manufacturing, logistics, supply chain management, Internet + platform operation, etc..

The 11th “Tsinghua IE Sword” National Industrial Engineering Case Study Competition held at the same time is the most influencing competition in the field of industrial engineering in China and is an important platform to showcase the latest achievements in the industrial engineering applications. The participants shared their experience in their industrial and engineering practice and demonstrate the role of industrial engineering in improving productivity.
