Biography

Wang Kaibo, Ph.D., Professor at the Department of Industrial Engineering, Tsinghua University. He is also the Secretary of the Teaching Steering Committee for Industrial Engineering in Higher Education Institutions, Ministry of Education, and the Deputy Director of the Industrial Engineering Division of the Chinese Society for Mechanical Engineering. In 2006, he earned his Ph.D. in Industrial Engineering and Engineering Management from the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, and joined Tsinghua University in 2007. He has previously served as Vice Head of the Department of Industrial Engineering at Tsinghua University, Vice Dean of the Graduate School, and Vice Dean of Vanke School of Public Health. He has also served as the Chair of the Quality, Statistics, and Reliability (QSR) Section of INFORMS. Currently, he is a Department Editor of IISE Transactions, an Editorial Review Board member of Journal of Quality Technology, and an Associate Editor of INFORMS Journal on Data Science. He is a senior member of both IISE and ASQ.

His primary research focuses on Statistical Quality Control, Digital Quality Management, and Industrial Big Data Analytics. He has led key projects funded by the National Natural Science Foundation, and multiple industry-sponsored research initiatives. His work includes studies on Quality Science Methods for Intelligent Manufacturing Systems, Quality Improvement in Semiconductor Manufacturing, and Quality Management System Development for Enterprises.
