Requirements for Innovative Achievements for Degree Application
The innovative achievements related to the degree thesis should meet the Requirements for Innovative Achievements for Graduate Degree Application in Management Science and Engineering, Tsinghua University(《清华大学管理科学与工程学科研究生申请学位创新成果要求》).
Degree Thesis Requirements
1. The purpose of the degree thesis is to develop students’ ability to apply knowledge comprehensively and to conduct innovative research. Thesis topics may include, but are not limited to, academic research topics and applied research topics.
2. The thesis work plan and thesis proposal must be completed at least two semesters before the intended thesis defense. The research work for the thesis should span no fewer than twelve months. All theses must undergo review and defense in accordance with the Department of Industrial Engineering’s regulations for Master of Engineering theses.
3. Thesis review and defense shall follow the Requirements for Innovative Achievements for Graduate Degree Application in Management Science and Engineering, Tsinghua University(《清华大学管理科学与工程学科研究生申请学位创新成果要求》), with reference to the Procedures and Requirements for Master’s Thesis Review and Defense(《硕士学位论文评阅与答辩程序及有关要求》).
4. Master’s students should meet the Requirements for Innovative Achievements for Graduate Degree Application in Management Science and Engineering, Tsinghua University(《清华大学管理科学与工程学科研究生申请学位创新成果要求》) during their period of study at Tsinghua, before applying for degree evaluation.
5. Confidential theses should comply with the relevant university regulations.
Obtaining a degree requires a minimum of 32 credits in total.
