Dr. Jiang is an associate professor with tenure in the Department of Industrial Engineering at Tsinghua University. He previously served as Director of the Institute of Operations Research and Data Science in the department. His teaching and research interests focus on advanced consumer behavior models and system optimization methods, with applications in revenue management, digital retailing, transportation, and logistics.
Dr. Jiang has published in leading academic journals, including Operations Research, Transportation Science, and Transportation Research Part B. His research team works closely with industry partners, including online retailers, railroads, airlines, navigation service providers, and automobile manufacturers, to help streamline operations and improve system efficiency. His undergraduate course, Data Structures and Algorithms, was recognized as a National First-Class Undergraduate Course by the Ministry of Education of China.
Dr. Jiang currently serves as Area Editor for Transportation at Computers & Industrial Engineering. He is also Vice President of the Behavioral Operations Research Chapter of the Operations Research Society of China. He received the Anna Valicek Award for Innovation in Airline Operations Research from AGIFORS, the Airline Group of IFORS.
Before joining Tsinghua University, Dr. Jiang worked in the corporate research group of Sabre Holdings, the parent company of Travelocity.com, in Dallas, Texas. He holds a Ph.D. from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and a bachelor’s degree from Tsinghua University.
