A delegation from Capital Airport Holding Company visited Tsinghua Industrial Engineering department with the lead of deputy general manager Mr. Gao Shiqing on September 20th. Tsinghua IE department Chairperson Prof.Zhizhong Li held discussions with Prof. Jianmin Wang, chairperson of Tsinghua Software School, Mr.Xu Weiqiang, general manager of the group of NationSky, TUS Holdings, and faculty from Information Research Institute and IE department, etc.

Prof. Zhizhong li gave a welcome address to all the guests and made a brief introduction of the history and development of Tsinghua IE department. CAH Introduced the development of the Capital Airport Holding Company and the issues and challenges they faced now, and they also expressed their urgent need for the optimization and improvement of efficiency, quality, cost and safety specially involved with embankment management, security, baggage sorting and transportation, information utilization and service innovation which are the core research areas of Tsinghua IE department. Tsinghua IE department is committed to solving the effective operation of complex systems and this is highly consistent with the demands of CAH.

All the participants of the meeting agreed on signing a strategic cooperation agreement and establish cooperative research institutions . After the meeting, they visited the laboratories of Tsinghua IE department.
