Dr. James E. Moore, II, a professor from Epstein Department of Industrial and Systems Engineering and vice dean for academic programs, Viterbi School of Engineering, University of Southern California, visited the Department on August 2. In the meeting, Dr. Zhizhong Li presented an introduction to the IE department at Tsinghua and discussed with Dr. Moore collaboration opportunities on research and education between the two IE departments. Dr. Lei Zhao participated in the discussion. After the meeting, Dr. Moore took a lab tour under guide by Dr. Ye Cheng and graduate students. He seemed to be impressed by our lab facilities and students' lab projects.
