On April 27, a delegation from the Department of Industrial Engineering of Chulalongkorn University, Thailand, led by Department Head Angsumalin Senjuntichai, visited the Department of Industrial Engineering at Tsinghua University. Li Lefei, Secretary of the Party Committee of the Department, held discussions with the guests in Room 512 of the Shunde Building. Wang Chen, Associate Head for Teaching Affairs, Ma Liang, Assistant Director of the Department, Associate Professor Xie Xiaolei, Associate Professor Yue Xiaowei, and staff members of the Department’s International Master’s Program also attended the meeting.

Discussion Session

Li Lefei warmly welcomed the delegation from Chulalongkorn University and introduced the development and achievements of the Department of Industrial Engineering at Tsinghua University in areas including disciplinary development, talent cultivation, and international exchange and cooperation. Assistant Professor Manida Neubert introduced the educational characteristics, disciplinary strengths, and development achievements of the Department of Industrial Engineering at Chulalongkorn University.

The two sides then conducted discussions on key topics including curriculum system development, joint student training mechanisms, and international cooperation practices, fully exchanging experiences in education and program management. They also reached preliminary consensus on further strengthening academic exchanges and expanding areas of cooperation in the future. Following the meeting, the delegation visited the Tsinghua University campus.

This visit effectively enhanced mutual understanding and friendship between the two departments of industrial engineering, further consolidating the foundation for academic exchange and long-term cooperation, and providing a solid platform for future multi-level and broad-based international collaboration.
