Good afternoon! I’m Ilia Iarkov from Russia, a graduate of IMEM 2020. I am glad to express my thoughts on this happy and momentous occasion. Let me first offer my congratulations to all graduates.

This world requires highly educated engineers and specialists to make intelligent decisions and create a future. Tsinghua University gave us an excellent opportunity to become engineers and specialists in creating a sustainable world, so today, we all are here to celebrate our happiness and success.

Tsinghua provides students with all resources and opportunities, such as libraries, labs, networks, the advanced equipment for better education. The most valuable experience I got at Tsinghua was research experience. The ambiance on campus, classrooms, and library allows me to immerse myself in extensive research work.

Five years ago, I couldn't imagine I would be studying in such a progressive education environment that provides a managerial perspective of engineering processes. It was such a unique opportunity for us to sharpen our vision in both theory and practice during the IMEM program. Moreover, I appreciate the efforts of IMEM program to make intercultural activities that brought us together to understand Chinese industry, culture and society better.

I also appreciate my classmates' efforts when working in teams during group projects. We have learned a lot from each other, so it is great luck to study with you in a group, where diversity is the main leitmotif. I am sure each of you has the strength to break any barriers and your dreams will come true. Happy graduation!

As a Tsinghua student, I am also delighted to be a part of the Archive Department in Olympic Broadcast Services during Winter Olympic Games 2022. I am sure my "Tsinghua Experience" was helpful in this international event. Despite the difficulties associated with the virus, China conducted the most innovative games that impressed me and the global community.

Finally, I would like to thank all teachers and professors for their supports during my wonderful study journey at Tsinghua. It was Tsinghua and you who make me more knowledgeable, powerful, confident and self-disciplined, and now I am ready for sharing what I have learned at Tsinghua with the global community.
